It depends on what you watch, not on which service advertises the most. Netflix has the widest library, HBO Max and Apple TV lead on prestige drama, Disney+ owns the big family franchises, Hulu and Peacock carry next-day network TV, Paramount+ has CBS, Star Trek and the Yellowstone shows, and Peacock and Paramount+ carry the most live sport. The quiz weighs your answers against those strengths and prices the lineup.

Which streaming service should I get?
Six questions about what you watch, who's watching, and what you'll pay. You get the services that fit, why they fit, and the monthly cost of the lineup.
How it works
Services are only good at what they're good at
No streaming service is best for everyone, whatever the ads say. Netflix has the widest library and the strongest international slate. HBO Max and Apple TV make the dramas that win awards. Disney+ owns the franchises children ask for by name. Hulu and Peacock carry network TV the morning after it airs, and Peacock and Paramount+ carry more live sport than the rest put together. Criterion and MUBI serve film history and art cinema to people who want exactly that.
The quiz scores each service against what you said you watch, drops the ones that would sit unopened, and prices the lineup at the tier you asked for. A tight budget gets one service and a note on what to rotate in later; a bigger one gets up to four. The recommendation is a starting point: the streaming guide has the full picture of each service's library and weak spots, and the cost calculator shows what any combination adds up to.
Whatever you pick, check the library before the first payment. Limelight shows where every title on your watchlist is streaming in your country, and its Top 10 charts show what each service has that people are watching this week.
Questions
Choosing a streaming service
Most households watch most of their hours on two services. Keep the one or two you open every week and rotate the rest one month at a time when they have something you want. The quiz recommends between one and four depending on your budget.
For most people, yes. The ad tiers cost roughly half as much and carry the same library on Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Peacock and Paramount+. If a few minutes of ads an hour would spoil it, the quiz prices the ad-free plans instead.
They are approximate US list prices checked in August 2026 and rounded to the dollar. Bundles, annual plans and promotions lower the effective price, and services change their plans often.
